![]() ![]() I'm not assuming that these tests are 100% factually correct, but I have not seen any other tests that dismiss those results. Several reddit tests have shown that weapon damage is split across all entities hit. I know that all duelist and non-duelist lords have some variety in their splash attack values, but I found it interesting that Karl Franz doesn't actually fit the duelist role at all according to his splash attack data. ![]() None of the infantry-sized lords have a large splash attack radius from what I could see. The large lords, like Thorgrim and Kholek, have a large splash radius. Some spellcasting lords tend to have a lower max number of targets around 4 - 5, while some high armor-piercing lords, like Grimgor and Grombrindal, have max attack values of 6 or 7 rather than 8. I was going to mention that in my original post, but then I noticed that all of the infantry-sized lords have a splash radius of medium. I would probably prefer mote consistent damage while in a mob fighting a Lord vs slightly higher damage but not as consistent. (I'm not entirely sure how this is decided probably just model distance from attacker or point of attack). The way I see it with medium radius but smaller troops affected some attacks will solely be registered on chaff And maybe not the Lord itself. Unless Franz wanders too far off ofcourse. Yes if it happens to have a lot of troops near him they'll all take less damage but on the flip side the enemy Lord should always be taking damage. Originally posted by Cornchip Dictatorship:The difference is that it's still a medium radius and not a large one. Thoughts? It makes him able to handle more targets, which is odd, but he doesnt lose any damage for targetting a single opponent either, since im pretty sure splash isnt split off when you target a single model entity. Note that all of the values listed are taken from the given entities while they are on foot. To my surprise, the data I stumbled upon for Karl Franz demonstrates that he actually has much more in common with non-duelist lords than he does with other duelist lords. Originally posted by Firaeveus Carron:Out of curiosity, I was browsing through the melee weapon tables to take a loot at how the splash attack data differed between entities (typically lords and heroes) categorized as duelists and entities not categorized as duelists. This effectively means that Karl Franz's damage will be split across more entities when he is attacking, causing his primary target to take a lesser fraction of his total damage compared to other duelists. ![]() No other duelist possesses this AoE capacity, as the second highest maximum target cap for entities labelled as a duelist is 5.Īccording to how I am interpreting this data, this actually means that Karl Franz is not an effective duelist, considering that his 'splash_attack_max_attacks' value is two to three times higher than every other duelist entity aside from Queek and Tyrion who have a 'splash_attack_max_attacks' value of 5. So, considering these values, it would seem to me that Karl Franz can still spread his damage across a total of 8 entities in spite of having a smaller splash attack size than someone like Thorgrim. Thorgrim has a 'splash_attack_target_size' value of large and a 'splash_attack_max_attacks' value of 8. A duelist hero, the Banshee, has a 'splash_attack_target_size' of small and a 'splash_attack_max_attacks' value of 3. Tyrion and Queek have a 'splash_attack_target_size' value of medium and a 'splash_attack_max_attacks' value of 5. Khalida and Sigvald share the same two values. Wulfrik the Wanderer, another lord with the duelist trait in his description, has a 'splash_attack_target_size' value of medium and a 'splash_attack_max_attacks' value of 4. Karl Franz has a 'splash_attack_target_size' value of medium, but has a 'splash_attack_max_attacks' value of 8. Out of curiosity, I was browsing through the melee weapon tables to take a loot at how the splash attack data differed between entities (typically lords and heroes) categorized as duelists and entities not categorized as duelists. ![]()
