Ideally I would like to get it working with the PPA package ppa:nijel/phpmyadmin as that is running the latest version 4.6. The problem with both is they are quite out of date, as the default package is 4.0.10 and nijel is 4.3.8 I can install PhpMyAdmin using the default Ubuntu package or via PPA package ppa:nijel/phpmyadmin To use these blocks, after you have added the connection information, remove the // at the start of each line in order to establish a connection. At the moment I have a LEMP stack setup running nginx 1.10.0, PHP-FPM 5.6.21 and MySQL 5.5.49 Go to the phpMyAdmin download page and look for the latest. Create a new phpMyAdmin folder: sudo mkdir /usr/ share /phpmyadmin/ Change to directory: cd /usr/ share /phpmyadmin/ 3. Blocks that have been commented out begin with //. sudo mv /usr/ share /phpmyadmin/ /usr/ share/phpmyadmin.bak 2. This will restrict access to the account name only. For new installations, theĬ file will be blank, and a new Phpmyadmin directory, will result in a completely new installation of phpMyAdmin. The next prompt will ask if we would like dbconfig-common to configure a database for phpmyadmin to. sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install phpmyadmin Now create a symbolic link from the installation files to our Nginx document root directory by typing. The above command, when run in a directory with no Hit Tab at the prompt asking about the web server to bypass. First update your system local packages and then install phpMyAdmin from package manager. Simple question : where do I change that Cannot find it in any forum or documentation. The default version is 7.4, but phpmyadmin use 7.2 for unknown reason. This is probably not desired if youd like to use a tool like phpMyAdmin in the same virtual host.
